The Bloomsbury DTC invites applications from current DTC studentship award holders and/or their supervisors for financial support to assist the development of collaboration with external organisations.
The ESRC has made additional funding to support these collaborations and small awards of normally no more than £2000 will be awarded to successful candidates. This money can be used for a variety of reasons such as meeting travel and subsistence costs or facilitating the development of material to be used as part of the knowledge exchange activity. The only two requirements are that:
- the collaboration fulfils the knowledge exchange criterion
- the financial support plays an obviously central role in enabling it.
The collaborating partners can be from a public, private or third-sector organisation and there is no restriction in location – both UK-based and non-UK based organisations are acceptable.
Successful applicants will be required to submit a brief report (max two sides of A4) on how the collaborative activity worked, following its conclusion and what benefits they and the collaborating organisation gained from it.
The closing date for applications in the current round is Tuesday 1 December 2015. Applicants will need to write a case for support, a side of A4 outlining the proposed collaboration, and complete a short form, as well as providing a letter of support from the collaborating organisation. Submit these to Alison Freeman, DTC Manager: firstname.lastname@example.org
Decisions will be announced in late January 2016.
